Glen Coe, Boxing Day, 2004. The end of the day. Possibly my vision/fantasy of what Scotland "should" look like. I have an almost identical photograph (not on this website) taken in Iceland. Possibly I was reliving the atmosphere, the magnetic colours of a looming Nordic snowstorm. The wooden pole somehow reminds us of our place; we have been here but what have we acheived? Are we in control? Can we survive?
